The Story So Far

1/21/26

So, let's recap where our journey began. You found yourselves trekking through the desolate scrub of the Unclaimed Hills, racing against a darkening sky alongside Taszo-son-ClutioTaszo-son-Clutio, that anxious Shin monk with the broken arm whom you had agreed to escort to the Shattered Plains.

Seeking shelter from the approaching highstorm, you crested a hill and looked down upon the Covenant Stone Crossroads—a massive, natural cliff wall that offered the only real protection for miles. You weren't alone there; a modest merchant caravan and a heavy military detachment flying the blue banners of House Kholin had also gathered to wait out the tempest.

While you helped the camp batten down the hatches, your attention was drawn to a reinforced, windowless coach in the Kholin camp. You watched a belligerent sergeant named Ellar mock the prisoner inside—a man named Taln who sat in the dark, muttering a mantra about a coming Desolation. While the footman Bordin intervened to keep the peace, Taszo pulled you aside to reveal the true stakes of his mission: he believed the prisoner was a Herald of the Almighty, and that the wagon secretly contained a sacred Honorblade.

But you barely had time to process this before chaos struck. You went to help a merchant named Tet Rebin, whose wagon seemed stuck in mud, only to realize the 'mud' was actually crem placed as a trap. Bandits ambushed the camp, drawing the Kholin soldiers out of position.

It was a diversion. While you fought, a thief named Kaiana—marked with a green glyph on her face—infiltrated the high-security wagon and swapped the real Honorblade for a decoy. Taszo saw the thieves retreating and, in a panic, sprinted away from safety, chasing them directly toward the approaching stormwall.

You ran into the fury of the storm to save him. The wind was deafening, the rain like knives, but a strange, rolling stone guided you forward—Po'ahu, a peakspren trying to get your help.

In the lightning flashes, you saw them: the golden-skinned Radiant Ylt holding the stolen blade, the thief Kaiana, and their enforcer, Veth.
